MITC Commercial – “Poverty”

The Mexican Indian Training Center (MITC) is a ministry in southern Mexico that trains men and women to be pastors and ministry leaders in some of the most rural parts of Mexico.  Most students come from very poor villages in the mountains and valleys of southern Mexico, spend 4 years at the MITC seminary, then return to their homes as leaders and pastors.

A series of spots and a longer form information video was produced for the MITC to use in their fundraising and marketing.  Below is one of the 60 second spots, titled “Poverty”.

Production Notes:

A one man crew spent 8 days traveling in southern Mexico to obtain all the footage needed for two 60 second commercial spots and a long form marketing piece for the school.  This enabled the production to be done on a very minimal budget.  Interviews were shot using natural light and reflectors, a local student provided translation services.
